I am a pre-service Elementary teacher attending Grove City College working towards a certification in Pre-k through 3rd. I am also minoring in Special Education, I want to be able to have an inclusive classroom and be prepared to help my students learn to the best of their ability. I love working with kids and I am so excited to have of my own classroom someday! ... I am from Westons Mills, New York, a small town about an hour and a half away from Buffalo, New York. I was homeschooled during Kindergarten-5th and attended Portville Central School 6th-12th grade. I am very excited to become a part of a teaching community like the one in my hometown, a strong community is very important to me. ... Outside of the classroom I love to read, sing, act, dance, and travel. Here at Grove City I am involved in their musical theatre program and their dance program, Orchesis. I look forward to taking advantage of their study abroad opportunities and various travel options. I have loved being a part of these extracurriculars at GCC, they have been so enriching and I have made many close friends. ... In terms of my major/minor, I have been going to many different field experiences and opportunities. Currently, I am employed at Portville Central School as a substitute aide, and I work whenever I am home. I have really been loving it and it has been such a great learning experience for me. ... My family and friends are huge aspect of my life, and I take pride in the time that I set aside to connect with them. Without these people supporting and encouraging me I would not be where I am today, I am so grateful for them all.
