Children should feel as if they can do anything
Social & emotional learning is important in teaching and learning
Five core competencies of SEL : Self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making
SEL has two learning strategies: "caught" and "taught" curriculums
Caught: develops SEL through environmental influences
Taught: Applies skills at scale and depth through teaching and learning
Mindfulness practices intentionally incorporate SEL skills (deep breathing, awareness, gratitude)
Minecraft : Education Edition promotes creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving
It promotes social-awareness and relationship skills
Learners can use teamwork and communication skills
Flipgrid for learners is a social hub to collaborate and use team building
Flipgrid for educators is a video platform that expands learning
Flipgrid promotes relationship skills and responsible decision-making
Teams is a safe, collaborative, and social environment for learners
Teams is great for organization, time saving, and efficient in assigning and grading work
You can conduct meetings, work collaboratively, and integrate useful apps
One Note helps practice self-management and agency of learning
It works on and offline, its a great time savor and workplace for students
It supports collaboration and relationship skills
Sway is a presentation tool that promotes self-awareness
Learners can determine their voice, message, and story
Learners can work collabororativly and commiunicate easily
The Reflect app helps learners recognize and navigate emotions
Check-ins are designed to embed explict SEL into the classroom
It teaches emotional granularity, the ablitity to differentiate betweent feelings an darticulate emotional expericenece
Educatorirs can shape SEL skills through enriching and empowering experieneces
Minecraft, Flipgrid, Teams, Sway, One Note, and Reflect are great ways to implement social support and emotional learning into the classroom

In order for this to occur you need to make connections, have engagement, and feedback
You should be able to learn seamlessly while alternating between in person and online learning
Simplicity and consistency allows students to have a positive learning experience
The learning environment and connections with students is the most important when creating a hybrid classroom
Tools to use: Teams, Channels, One Note, PowerPoint, and Word
Teams allows for direct instruction, collaboration, and group discussions
Team building is essential for a positive class community
Build a strong class community face-to-face and use digital tools to reinforce in when online
Conversations should focus on individual needs to form relationships
Lesson designs should revolve around interactivity and engagement
Create tutorials and guides for parents and students when learning online
Lessons should be engaging and interactive even if pre-recorded
Tools to use: Live team calls, One Note, Flipgrid, Minecraft, Sway, and Steam
You must transfer skills and techniques learned in the classroom to virtual learning
Assessment and feedback measure growth and progress
Feedback promotes learning and improvement for students
Summative assessment should be authentic and meaningful
